The Vanderpump Rules star, 35, purchased the vacation home in April 2019 but just gave fans a peek inside in a video recently posted on her YouTube channel. The 2,000-square-foot house includes three bedrooms and three bathrooms. One of the bedrooms, which Shay noted had “been through so many makeovers,” is now filled with furniture and décor from Amazon and Home Depot.
“This is technically the third bedroom,” the Bravo star said as she walked into a den. “But we decided to keep it opened up … I like to lounge in this room, it’s a little more comfy and it’s darker.”
According to the “Good as Gold” songstress, the house is decorated with plenty of artwork, including some personal pieces and others that she found on Amazon.
The main attraction in the open living room is a large sparkly lion named Leo, which came from Davies’ San Diego apartment. “We realized he’s kind of more of Liberace, Palm Springs lion, so Leo now is here with the other kitties,” Shay explained.
Off the living room is an open kitchen with a “really dope” backsplash. This room got plenty of use while Shay and Davies were quarantining with the star’s sister, Cortney, and Cortney’s boyfriend, Justice. “Brock is a really good cook. He does really good pastas,” Shay told BravoTV.com in March. “I bought these really good sun-dried tomato tortillas and I’ve been making chicken Caesar wraps for lunch for us every single day.”
As for “where the magic happens” — a.k.a. the master bedroom — the California native decorated the room with a large white bed, a chandelier and even added a cat house for her pets.
The heart of the bedroom, however, is Shay’s “Palm Springs closet,” which is packed with many of her memorable outfits — including several that she’s worn on Vanderpump Rules. “I finally finished organizing this. It took Brock and I hours and hours to get all of this stuff organized,” she said as she walked inside. “I have so many iconic looks.”
One of Shay’s favorite ensembles? A pale pink dress she wore to the season 4 reunion for VPR. “It was, like, $15 on Melrose,” she recalled. “I had to keep it. It’s a classic.”
