This dress is fitted, but don’t let that send you running in the other direction. We firmly believe that anyone can rock a fitted dress, and the front ruching is there to make sure of it. This ruching is so flattering, helping to camouflage and conceal any insecurities all the while adding a fashionable accent! We’re seriously not going to be able to stop looking (and smiling) in the mirror.
Also ensuring that we’ll feel endlessly comfortable in this dress is the soft, cotton blend fabric, which is super stretchy! Bodycon dresses sometimes feel like wearing a corset, especially if we’re wearing shaping garments underneath. We’re not wearing huge Victorian-era dress here, though, so we can kiss that shape-wear and corset feeling goodbye!
This lightweight dress has short cap sleeves and a surplice neckline, the overlapping fabric forming a V. Its straight hem hits around mid-thigh. It’s a minidress, but we don’t really think of it like that. It’s flirty and alluring, making it a go-to for date night, but it’s so cozy that it basically feels like pajamas!

This dress is currently available in two colors, both of which have a heather effect. First, we have Navy Peacoat Heather, a deep blue shade that looks like the ocean under moonlight, with the ruching as waves and the heathering as the cool natural light reflecting off the ripples.
The other color is Teal Cyrus Heather, a gorgeous blend of blue and green. It’s a pop of color, but not one that requires sunglasses. It’s soft and easy to wear and pair. In fact, all of Leith’s pieces are made to be “mixed and matched” with other pieces!
If we’re looking to wear this dress to date night, we recommend a pair of heels, for sure. With that high hem, our legs will go on for miles! If it’s chilly, we can drape a flowy pashmina over our shoulders for an effortless effect. Either color of this dress would also look amazing with any lip shade, from vampy red, to rosy pink, to even a purply brown!
For a more casual look, we can trade the heels for slip-on sneakers and the pashmina for a denim jacket or cropped vest. Tie hair up into a messy bun and our street style will be the talk of the town! No paparazzi, please!
We really thought it couldn’t get any better when we saw the tank version of this dress, but the new surplice silhouette has captured our heart all over again. That ruching always pulls through!
