The R+Co TROPHY Shine + Texture Spray is one of the true stars of the newly-revived series, making an appearance in host Kristin Cavallari’s hair! Makeup artist and hair stylist Emma Willis revealed the secrets behind Cavallari’s fittingly beachy waves on her Instagram, and considering how flawless the reality-star-turned-host looked, we immediately started adding the R+Co TROPHY Shine + Texture Spray to our shopping cart!

This all-in-one spray was the final step to completing Cavallari’s look. As suggested by its name, it offers texture and shine, but it also offers hold, acting as a traditional hairspray (but so much better)! It was the perfect touch for the occasion. It can get awfully windy by the sea, but this spray claims to keep hair “strong and where it belongs,” and if it’s Willis’ go-to, we know it must be insanely reliable!
This spray claims to be suitable for all hair types, and safe, too, as it’s free of both sulfates and parabens. Its collection of key ingredients is impressive and downright exciting, the benefits almost seeming to multiply as we go through them!

This spray features fuller’s earth, which is a naturally-occurring clay that may help to remove any excess oil that builds up on our scalp, all while eliminating impurities from our hair. It also features Italian-sourced sweet almond protein, loved for its potential to rejuvenate dry and damaged hair, keeping it soft and manageable.
Suiting the beachy theme is the sea kale in this spray, which claims to “infuse hair with intense moisture and shine” so it won’t be so stiff and statue-esque. Rounding out the key ingredients are vegetable protein, which claims to strengthen strands, and heat protection polymer, which may provide thermal protection and keep us frizz-free!

Another beloved feature of this spray is the scent. It’s “warm” and “sultry,” with notes of bergamot, wild fig, cyclamen, lotus flower, cedarwood and tonka beans! None of that chemical, dollar-store smell that honestly makes us feel nauseated. We may have to even stop ourselves from constantly smelling our hair!
When Willis used this spray on Cavallari, it acted as the finishing touch, and we are also welcome to use it on dry hair. R+Co also recommends spraying it on damp, towel-dried hair, blow drying and brushing it through. In the simple tutorial video, the brand claims that “everyone’s a winner with TROPHY,” and we definitely approve of that. No consolation prizes or participation ribbons here!
