We’re always in pursuit of a better way to clean our skin. If you’re familiar with the original Luna, the new Fofo isn’t all that much different. The facial cleansing brush looks kind of like a toy, with bristles on one end to help get a deep clean, while massaging your face. On the flip side, you have advanced sensors that analyze your skin. It helps determine what your skin needs for a personalized routine. It tracks your skin’s health by listening to internal and external factors, including a change in diet, water intake and climate to help create the best regimen for you. It even helps track your hydration levels, so you can finally know if that new moisturizer you’re trying out (or the extra glasses of water you’ve been chugging) is actually working or not.
That all sounds swell, but how does such a tiny (and cute) gizmo actually know what’s going on with your skin? Simple. It uses 24K gold-plated hypoallergenic sensors that are embedded in body-safe silicone for an accurate read on your skin, which is then sent to your phone via the Foreo app. Once the Fofo analyzes your skin, it sends a customized cleansing program to your phone. It’s not a one-time use thing, either — as your skin changes, so does your routine. Worried about charging? No biggie. Each Fofo is powered by 2 AAA batteries that last up to a year (or up to 400 uses). You can swap those when you need and leave the charging cables at home.
The Fofo comes in seven colors, including a pretty petal pink, jet black, sunflower yellow and a mint that’s going to look great on your bathroom sink.
Reviewers dig the Fofo just as much as we do. One user claimed that the gadget saved them from a summer breakout, while another insisted that it can really “read your skin.” One even shared that “it makes pimples go away in a day!”
