We usually don’t like to share what we’re giving our friends, family and loved ones for the holidays because it ruins the element of surprise. Every once in a while, though, we stumble upon something so truly good that we can’t contain ourselves and want to share it even before it’s wrapped. One such item happens to be loungewear from one of our favorite brands for everything from slippers to boots to even blankets. We found a can’t-miss robe from Ugg we know will be a winning gift for the holidays.

We know the importance of a great loungewear piece and whether it’s a pair of thermal pajamas, a great set of slippers or an oversized tee you wear to bed, it needs to be comfortable, cozy and so soft, you have to tear yourself away from it when you get dressed in the morning or after a shower. A robe falls into a different category altogether: It can be thrown on over a set of PJs for extra warmth, layered over a nightgown if we have to go to the kitchen in the middle of the night, or just be worn around the house on days that we simply can’t be bothered.
Thankfully, the Ugg Miranda does all that and more. It’s made of a shockingly luxe plush fleece that feels like a giant bear hug every time it’s slipped on. It’s a short robe, but not so short that you might feel uncomfortable greeting a neighbor or the person delivering the mail. The robe has a sash tie to keep it closed, plus there’s a shawl collar that creates a flattering and pretty neckline. There are also massive hip pockets, perfect for keeping your hands toasty warm or even for stashing candy during a binge of The Good Place on Netflix. An oversized hood seals the deal and can be perfect for throwing on over damp locks or if we just need a little bit of extra warmth.
The best part, however, isn’t even the practical pockets or the pretty collar. Rather, we’re all about the array of colors the robe can be purchased in! For fans of all things practical, there are two dark shades: An indigo hue that looks a touch more blue than purple, plus a stunning port wine shade that we would kill to have a coat or a pair of silk pants in. There are also options for the risk-takers that prefer lighter colors, namely a gorgeous lavender that immediately takes our minds to spring. There’s also a “moonbeam” shade that’s a very light beige and a classic white that will make any time we spend in it feel like a trip to the most luxurious spa or hotel. We just have to be careful not to spill any foundation on the pristine shade.

The robe might seem a bit pricey — $130 is a pretty penny to pay for something we don’t plan on wearing outside of the house, after all — but it’s from a brand that we’re more than happy to spend a bit more on thanks to supreme quality. Ugg was brought to Southern California from Australia by a surfer in 1978. The brand enjoyed tremendous success with the signature sheepskin boots we all know and love and eventually launched a home collection and loungewear items in 2013. Each piece is made to feel snuggly yet still flattering and make even something as casual as hanging out on the couch at home feel luxurious.
We’re not the only ones that love the Ugg robe, either. Dozens of reviewers have praised the Miranda design, which currently boasts almost a 5-star rating at Nordstrom! Some reviewers say that while this was their very first robe from the brand, they plan on getting more because this one just made them fall in love! Many noted that it keeps them warm but not sweaty (important, especially if we plan on wearing it if it’s not super hot out) and others love pulling the hood over their head when their hair is wet. Many complimented the sleeves, gushing over how the fitted style is way easier to maneuver in than those large droopy sleeves many robes have. One shopper said it’s the perfect Valentine’s Day gift, though you bet we plan on giving this to everyone on our list come the holidays. It’s hard not to: A robe so blissfully soft belongs in the homes of the people we love the most in the world!
