At-home spa days are one of our favorite pastimes, and we’re always looking for new gadgets that help Us turn any moment into self-care time. Our latest obsession is looking for scalp massagers since they are so relaxing and easy to do on our own. Treating ourselves to a thorough scalp rub down is a great way to relieve stress, plus they have been linked to encouraging hair growth.

“Blood flow to the hair cells means healthier hair growing out of your scalp,” Anabel Kingsley, a tricologist, previously told the Huffington Post.  “The health of the scalp is vital to the health of the hair. Scalp massages aid in the removal of dead skin cells from the scalp and a flaky scalp is known to worsen hair loss in certain individuals. It can be very beneficial to those who suffer from scalp conditions such as dandruff, seborrheic dermatitis and psoriasis.”

Yay for spa style experiences that also help Us maintain luscious tresses! To help with our never-ending quest for rest and relaxation, and yes, healthy hair, we’ve fallen for a $16 vibrating scalp massager on Amazon.

The Vitagoods Scalp Massaging Shampoo Brush vibrates so it decreases the arm work we have to put in when we massage with our fingers.

The soothing gadget has a simple design with two speed options and two differently sized brush bristles. It comes with an on and off button for activating the device and switching speeds, plus a handle for easy grip and maneuvering. All the device requires is two AA batteries. The bristles are also made of rubber, which is perfect for preventing hair breakage. We love that the massager comes in four cute colors: black, green, purple and white.

To use the waterproof device, simply apply a small amount of shampoo to your scalp, turn the brush on, set your desired speed and start at the front of your head and move over your entire scalp. We can also use oils like peppermint, castor and jojoba to allow the vibrating device to work them into our scalp for extra stimulation.

Shoppers who purchased the vibrating scalp massager raved most about how soothing it felt, with multiple reviewers noting a comfortable tingling feeling. Several shoppers noted how they were easily able to clean their hair in the shower with it.
