Every spring we wait for a new, or renewed, shoe trend to arise. Then, it’s shopping time. This year, footwear is all about fun, colorful patterns! Obviously, we are absolutely loving that. What we are loving even more is this style of TOMS, which comes in 25 different patterns, colors and fabrics, including vegan options!
The TOMS Alpargata slip-ons are too cute, no matter which pair we choose to wear. Shoppers are calling them “wonderful summer walking shoes,” noting that they “molded to [their] feet” for ultimate comfort. One reviewer had “nothing but good things to say” about these TOMS, while others felt the same, calling them “absolutely beautiful” with “fabulous prints!”

These springtime slip-ons have a breathable lining for warm days in the sun, as well as an “odor-fighting” twill liner to keep things fresh and cool. The upper features an elastic “V” at the vamp, which stretches for easy on-and-off. Inside, we’ll find the removable molded textile insole, which offers arch support and cushy comfort upon first wear!
We’re loving what’s on this inside of this shoe, but let’s look at the outsole for a second, too. It’s made of a durable rubber, featuring traction strips. These shoes are fabulously fun and lightweight, but the outsole still does its duty to keep us sturdily on our feet without feeling the rough terrain on our own soles!
As always with TOMS, every time we buy a pair of these Alpargatas, the company will donate one pair of shoes to a child in need. So if we’re thinking that we might need a minimum of 10 of these patterns, we shouldn’t feel bad! It’s for a good cause. Plus, look at all of those amazing sale prices!
Let’s get into all of those adorable patterns! We want to talk about the super colorful ones, since they are super in right now. Navy Tropical Leaves is a great option, featuring multicolor leaves of green, purple, yellow, white and red. We are also totally in love with Coral Pink Cuban Fruits. This peachy shoe has a fruity pattern featuring bananas, pineapples and limes! So, so cute!

Another pattern we can’t get enough of is Blue Glow Swimmers, on which the shoe’s blue upper takes the visual form of water, with a print of impressive swimmers diving in and cooling off! Who else owns a shoe like that? No one! We also want to bring up Burnished Lilac Arrow Embroidered Mesh. It’s a slightly more muted, but definitely still spring-like purple color, but features fun yet delicate embroidery all over the upper!
Every single pattern of this shoe brings forth a totally different vibe for a totally different look. Some are perfectly suitable for wearing with party dresses at backyard barbecues, while others we would wear with chic wide leg pants and a button-up blouse. There are also some we’d wear as more of an everyday shoe, pairing them with distressed jeans or even stretchy leggings.
Some of these Alpargatas even have patterned linings, like stripes and cherries! If we want something warmer, these shoes also have us covered, as some versions feature faux-shearling!
How is everyone feeling about this lively trend? Like we can’t believe we ever wore non-patterned shoes? Us too. But it’s okay to love both. We promise.
