Looser-fitting, wide leg pants are a must when it comes to utility in fashion. These cropped pants feature patch pockets both in the front and the back, and their vintage-style green hue is just the key to a versatile piece. Herschel Supply Co. Strand Bag
If we’re going to do utility right, we’re going to need to accessorize properly. That means we need a durable bag with storage galore. A cute one, obviously. This fabric Herschel bag is the way to go in its gorgeous yet muted Ash Rose shade. It has a big slit pocket on the outside and snap-button tabs on the sides, bringing in that belt inspiration. We may not be carrying tools around in this bag, but that’s okay. Our lipsticks and extra pair of shoes are our tools!

Sanctuary Steady Boyfriend Shirt
A great thing about a utility-style shirt is that it’s just so incredibly easy to wear. This tencel top has a front button closure and patch pockets on either side of the chest, also with buttons! It also has cuffed sleeves we can fold up when we need to get down to business. This Washed Lilac shade mixes rugged utility with pretty pastel perfectly, and we plan to pair it with anything, from jeans to a miniskirt!

Sanctuary Explorer Patch Pocket Short
Santuary is so on top of this trend, it’s ridiculous. Ridiculously awesome. These cotton-blend shorts are so much more comfortable than denim shorts that are constantly riding up and chafing against our thighs. They have patch pockets on the front and back, as well as a zip fly and button closure. We really love the cuff of the shorts too, and how they actually stay cuffed!
