I’m a straight shooter. There are things in life I’m good at and then there are things in life I’m not so good at. When it comes to shaving? Let’s go ahead and mark that as something I’m actually pretty terrible at. My earliest memory of shaving aligns with a horror film; a true bloody massacre. The mission of joy is simple. It’s for the girl who is self-aware, frank and honestly optimistic. How refreshing! Oh wait, it’s not because that’s also part of their mission.

It’s the best friend in the bathroom corner, holding our hand and cheering us on through all of the beautiful blunders we find along the way. The joy razor is the perfect best friend to help Us take the reigns when looking for our most successful shaving experience yet. It’s the non-slip option that actually offers a non-slip grip handle. The razor comes stocked with five blades that are adjustable for the most comfortable shave ever. It also happens to include two five-blade refills, so forget about running out! As we said, it’s not only the relationship that was built to last, it’s the razor that will, too!
Most fabulous of all, this razor comes equipped with Lubrastrip. Fear not, this high-tech sounding feature just negates any of that uncomfortable and unwanted skin irritation. This basically means the only pretty-in-pink feature on our legs will be this pretty pink razor, obviously!
Now, I know you’re all thinking that this brand is just another hyped up gimmick. Don’t just trust Us, go ahead and trust me when I say it’s not. The reason I’m so trustworthy? I went ahead and tested it out first-hand!
As I mentioned, I’m a walking battlefield when it comes to shaving. Each and every experience is worst than the last and I have so many battle scars on my legs that I’ve lost count. So you can all understand my excitement when slipping into the shower to test out this adorable pink razor.
The pink hue is subtle, soft and smooth, even if pink isn’t your thing. (Don’t worry, it also comes in teal, too!) In fact, the color is almost as smooth as its glide. The razor glided up and down my legs so smoothly, it was actually refreshing. Ironic isn’t it?
I personally liked that when I paired it with the glee cucumber aloe shaving gel, it wasn’t just cool. It was cooling. (Note: This shaving gel does have a strong scent similar to the timeless Bath & Body Works Cucumber Melon lotion. I personally liked it, especially since it made my experience fun and fresh-smelling.)
Overall, joy was a much more pleasant razor for someone who isn’t big on the shaving experience. It was fun and well, functional. The razor literally glided up and down my leg and left silky smooth skin without any of the bumps or bruises. That’s right, zero nicks and cuts! I walked away not only smelling fresh, looking fresh but also, feeling fresh after using the joy razor. Almost 24 hours later, I’m still scar-free! Talk about a first-time for everything, am I right?
