More than 1,000 guests attended Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Madison Square Garden wedding in July, but Kansas City Chiefs co-owner Daniel Hunt was not one of them.
“I did not get invited to Taylor Swift’s wedding; apparently, I don’t sing well enough to get invited,” Hunt, 49, told CBS News Texas in a video shared via Instagram on Friday, August 14. “That’s probably been my second biggest question of the entire summer.”
Daniel added that he has not spoken to Kelce, 36, since the wedding, but his brother, Clark Hunt, attended the ceremony.
“My brother was there, and I talked to him, and he said, ‘Look, it was really special, and it was really unique, and we are all so happy for him,’” Daniel said.
With the 2026 NFL season fast approaching, Kelce and his teammates are hard at work at Chiefs training camp. And while the veteran tight end is enjoying the early days of married life, Daniel said he’s trying to get the newlyweds to support the other team his family owns, MLS club FC Dallas.

“I’m working on it,” Daniel said. “You know, we’ll have to see. It’ll probably be after Travis retires, but they’re always welcome down here.”
It makes sense for Daniel to want to bring Kelce and Swift, 36, to an FC Dallas game. He’s seen first-hand the impact the superstar singer has had on the Chiefs’ popularity.
“From the day that she walked into our stadium, it opened up a new fan base force,” he said. “She has a tremendous global fan base, mostly young women and girls. And so many of them have now embraced the Kansas City Chiefs.”
While Kelce and his family haven’t revealed many details about the wedding, he reflected on the occasion during a session with reporters at Chiefs camp on Wednesday, August 12.
“It was a fun offseason, man,” Kelce said. “Wedding was the best night of my life. I appreciate everybody who came out and celebrated and had fun with us. That’s about all I really got from that night. It was a crazy night. It was full of a lot of celebration.”
He continued, “MSG, man, I always told myself I’d go for a playoff game when the [New York] Knicks were rocking, and my wife went when I was stuck in minicamp. I didn’t get the opportunity to go then, so it’s kind of cool to get to live out my childhood dream of being in that venue, the mecca of all sports venues, being able to get married in there.”
