The beautiful London-based barrister, 36, went to the John Frieda salon for a blow-out. With her freshly styled brunette tresses flowing in the wind, Alamuddin looked chic and ladylike in a navy blazer and shell, tucked in to her white pants.
The future Mrs. Clooney accessorized her outfit with black buckled flats, large sunglasses, and of course, that giant emerald-cut diamond ring from her man. Alamuddin spent the remaining part of her day buying fruits and veggies at the outdoor Shepherd’s Bush Market, which is located in the neighborhood of the same name.
Since news of her engagement to the Oscar winner broke last month, Alamuddin has been the recipient of congratulatory memorabilia from all over. Pictured outside her door Wednesday was a big bouquet of flowers accompanied by a silver balloon which read, “Congratulations on your engagement!”
Alamuddin, an accomplished lawyer who specializes in international law, also received a congratulatory statement from her coworkers at Doughty Street Chambers on April 28. One of her fellow barristers, Geoffrey Robertson, told Reuters that Clooney’s fiancee was a “brilliant and passionate defender of human rights.”
Doughty Street Chambers chief executive Robin Jackson added, “She brings a bright light to everything she is involved in, and I am so delighted at her happy news.”
Alamuddin, who returned to London on Tuesday, May 13, enjoyed her time off from work with her handsome future hubby. The two lovebirds celebrated their engagement at a party with Clooney’s celebrity friends Cindy Crawford, Rande Gerber, and Bono last weekend.
