Amal, who married George Clooney in September 2014, stunned in two bright looks in one day. The human-rights lawyer, 38, emerged from her Upper East Side hotel in a red wrap dress with an exaggerated bow detail and bell sleeves. She elevated the look with tan crocodile Paul Andrew Zenadia pumps.

Later that afternoon, the Brit changed into a hot pink Max Mara wool suit adorned with a ruffle detail on the jacket. The suit’s cropped pants allowed her to display her black Dolce&Gabbana heels.

Thursday’s looks weren’t her only high fashion notes of the week. On September 21, she was Tamron Hall’s twin in a Gucci Pussy-bow Pleated Silk Crepe De Chine Dress ($2,800, net-a-porter.com). (Today Show’s Hall, one of our Most Stylish New Yorkers, wore the same look that same day.) And for a street style moment, on September 20, she walked hand-in-hand with George, 55, in an Alexander McQueen Obsession Dress sprinkled with a motif of lipstick, butterflies, pocket-watches and cat-eyes ($2,895, net-a-porter.com).

This week wasn’t just for photo ops. On September 20, the Clooneys met with President Barack Obama and a variety of high-powered CEOS for a roundtable discussion on refugees. And another topic that Amal likely discussed this week is ISIS and the perils of taking on that work in court.

“This is something I discussed with my husband before I would take on something like this,” the lawyer, who believes that ISIS should be taken to court for genocide, told NBC News in a preview aired on September 19. “We did discuss it. And we are aware of some of the risks involved.”
