Another Duggar walks down the aisle! Amy Duggar, niece to Jim Bob and Michelle, and first cousin to their 19 kids, married Dillon King on Sunday, Sept. 6, and the gown she wore didn’t exactly fit the strict family’s dress code!
The latest Duggar to tie the knot, 28, wore a cleavage-bearing strapless, A-line gown by Essence of Australia to say her “I dos” to King, 28, whom she’s been dating since November 2014. The bride accessorized the ivory garment with a taupe sash and a long, cathedral-length veil. The getup was certainly a change from Jill‘s modest lacy number (worn at her nuptials to Derick Dillard) and Jessa‘s beaded, short-sleeve gown (worn at her Nov. 1, 2014 wedding to Ben Seewald).
But, the blushing bride couldn’t have been happier with her choice of wedding dress. “I loved how modern it was, and I love the train,” she told Us. “I love everything about it. I would wear it to the grocery store and the gas station. I might bowl it it. Go-karts… I’ll find a way to wear it all the time.”
The couple, who announced their engagement on July 13 via Amy’s Instagram caption, “I’m so happy to announce… WE ARE ENGAGED!!!” wed at Horton Farms in Bentonville, Arkansas.
Amy also declared that post-nuptials, she’ll definitely be ditching the Duggar name for her husband’s. “I’m so excited to take his last name, which I heard is trending [on Twitter] right now, that I’m ready to change my last name, which is the funniest thing, but I mean, it’s true,” she told Us. “I think that’s going to be a really awesome feeling.”
