Duchess Kate Teaches You How to Dress for the Occasion

A classic beauty — with a twist! Duchess Kate loves to dress for the occasion, from St. Patrick's Day parades (her arsenal of emerald coats!) to Canadian tours (maple leaves on maple leaves). And yet, while the royal mom, 34, is always up for the theme, she also consistently surprises Us. Which is why we're breaking down her signature style, so you too can be the ultimate in putting a fresh twist on tried-and-true pieces. Watch the Anatomy of a Style lesson in the video!

Observe: When the Duchess of Cambridge visited Canada in September with her husband, Prince William, and their two children, Prince George, 3, and Princess Charlotte, 18 months, she stunned in a number of scarlet styles — a nod to her host country's flag — including this red-and-white Alexander McQueen beauty. Proving her guest patriotism, Kate also added red suede pumps and a matching crimson clutch.
