Inspired by one of the greats! Kendall Jenner revealed that the muse behind her dramatic lob haircut was, in fact, another supermodel.
“Christy Turlington‘s bob was a total inspiration for me, even though mine’s a little longer,” Jenner, 20, wrote via her app and website on Thursday, June 16. (Turlington, of course, was one of the most in-demand models of the ’80s, alongside Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista and Stephanie Seymour, who Jenner fired back at for her “bitches of the moment” comment.)
And if she didn’t love it? Well, the Estée Lauder brand ambassador had a solution for that, too. “I wasn’t nervous about the haircut, really, because I know my hair grows so fast,” she said. “But after the stylist chopped it off and I felt it, for a second I was like, ‘Ahh, wait! Take it back!’ But, I actually really love it now.”
Jenner admitted that here have been a “couple of times” when she looked and the mirror and freaked out. But she also noted, “I’ve had the same length forever, so it’s a nice change and perfect for summer.”
As Us Weekly previously reported, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star chopped her hair on the set of a Vogue shoot. A source told Us it was for the fashion bible’s much-anticipated September issue, though a rep for Vogue would not confirm whether Jenner would be 2016’s cover star.
