Meghan Markle has done it again! The Duchess of Sussex has been modernizing royal dressing since she got engaged to Prince Harry a year ago, and the mom to be refused to be slowed down by the chilly November temperatures at the Royal Variety Performance in London on Monday, November 19, wearing a shoulder-baring sequined halter top that showed off her growing baby bump.

In honor of the black tie affair, the pregnant royal sported a shimmering black and white tropical-print peplum top by Safiyaa. Just days after her royal wedding in May, the Duchess celebrated Prince Charles’ 70th birthday at Buckingham Palace in a blush-toned dress from the British label GOAT. While the frock was technically long sleeves, sheer paneling allowed for her shoulders to be on display.

During her trip to Down Under with Prince Harry last month, Meghan rocked a series of super cute sleeveless sundresses that were perfectly in keeping with her outdoor engagements in the Aussie sun, but her sequined look at the London Palladium this week is certainly the most formal occasion we’ve seen the Duchess assert that, when it comes to fashion, she’s making her own rules.
