Can we be blunt? We’re all about this trend!

Natalie Portman is the latest celeb to rock the blunt ponytail, modeling it at the New York Jewish Film Festival, where she screened her directorial debut, A Tale of Love and Darkness, on Tuesday, January 26.

The Oscar-winning actress, 34, wore the increasingly popular ‘do parted to one side and secured at the nape of her neck.

Portman, who shares son Aleph, 4, with husband Benjamin Millepied, popped in a cherry-red Dior coat with a scalloped hemline. She also worked a black dress, high boots and dangling earrings, all by Dior.

While the Israeli-born actress certainly pulled off the hairstyle with aplomb, she isn’t the first lady to hit the carpet in a blunt pony! Khloé Kardashian chose the sleek style while promoting her new TV show, Kocktails With Khloé, in NYC on January 13.

To create the look, celebrity hairstylist Cesar Ramirez told Us that he sectioned the 31-year-old reality star’s hair from ear to ear, then brought the back section into a low ponytail. He then created a deep center part and slicked back each side to meet the low pony in back.

To add a little something extra, Ramirez, who also works with Taraji P. Henson and Ciara, wrapped her ponytail with a bungee cord and stacked black bobby pins on both sides.

Kate Mara and Sophia Bush have also been spotted working the blunt ponytail. While Bush, 33, slicked hers down, Mara, 32, swooped her pony back to one side for a touch of volume.
