Sophia Bush

California girl Sophia Bush made her movie debut in the 2002 comedy Van Wilder. The actress left the University of Southern California, where was studying journalism and theater, early after she was cast as Brooke Davis in the WB/CW TV series One Tree Hill, which ended up being her breakthrough role.

She went on to star in The Hitcher, John Tucker Must Die, The Incredibles 2 and False Positive on the big screen. Bush has also remained present on the small screen with roles on Chicago P.D. and Love, Victor.

The actress ventured into podcasting when she launched “Work in Progress” in 2019, and she teamed up with Hilarie Burton and Joy Lenz for a One Tree Hill recap podcast called “Drama Queens” in 2021.

In 2005, Bush wed costar and onscreen love interest Chad Michael Murray. The couple divorced in 2006, and Bush later dated OTH costars James Lafferty and Austin Nichols. She announced her engagement to businessman Grant Hughes in August 2021, more than a year after they were first linked in May 2020. They tied the knot in June 2022. Bush filed for divorce in July 2023.
