Only one more month to go!

As her April due date approaches, pregnant Kate Middleton joined the royal family at a service honoring the troops who fought in Afghanistan, held at St. Paul's Cathedral on Friday, March 13, in London.

The Duchess of Cambridge, 33, now eight months along, donned a navy blue Beulah "Chiara" wool coat, teamed with a bow-topped hat and suede pumps, for the event. Adding even more sophistication to her style, Middleton opted for an intricate (and rare) updo—a twisted chignon, pinned at the nape. See Kate Middleton's growing baby bump pics.

Middleton was joined by her husband, Prince William, and his brother, Prince Harry, who both appeared dapper in their uniforms, embellished with military regalia. Queen Elizabeth (who led the service), Prince Philip, Prince Charles, and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall were present, too.

The ceremony marked the end of the UK's 13-year combat operations in Afghanistan. It was attended not only by the royals, but also by the families of those lost in the war, as well as veterans.

During the service the Reverend Dr. David Ison thanked the country's commitment to the troops, then prayed for the citizens of Afghanistan and offered this speech: "We remember those who have been injured in body, mind, and spirit and we pray for their continued well-being and for those who especially support them."

While the day was a somber one, the royal couple, who are due to welcome their child in just over a month, couldn't help but smile on the steps of the cathedral, as the Duchess' coat, bundled around her cradled baby bump, blew around her.

The appearance caps off a busy week for Middleton. The Duchess attended a London service in honor of Commonwealth Day on Monday, visited the Turner Art Gallery in Margate on Tuesday, and fan-girled on the London set of Downton Abbey on Thursday.
