It wasn’t only the ladies who looked amazing on the 2019 BET Awards red carpet. Men showed up with some seriously killer fashion choices that we have yet to see rivaled at any other award show this year.
On Sunday, June 23, all kinds of chic men in TV, movies and music hit up the red carpet at Phylm Studios in Los Angeles for the 18th annual awards show. While some went with a classic look, most opted for bold, daring ensembles filled with patterns and color. And, oh boy, did it pay off.
Lil Nas X stuck with his cool-country vibe, rocking a baby blue pants and jacket combo (read: no shirt) that featured multi-colored patterned prints down his lapels and on the outsides of his pant legs. To give it even more flare he topped off the look with white cowboy boots and a cowboy hat to match. Billy Ray Cyrus also delivered a stylish country sensibility, going with a jeans, a black tee and a leather jacket, elevating the look as a whole with brown cowboy boots and a wide-brim cowboy hat. Overall it was all country fashion extravaganza.
The “Old Town” singer wasn’t the only one in a leather jacket, though. Ne-Yo also went for one, pairing his tan outerwear with plaid pants and a white button down. But it was really his bold accessory choices that we couldn’t get enough of, which included multi-texture black, white and tan shoes, aviator shades and a black fedora.
Then there were those who played it a bit safer, like John Legend with his gray suit and print shirt or Tyler Perry, who went with an all-charcoal gray tuxedo.
