During the Friday, May 22, episode of Heart Breakfast, William, 43, revealed that George, 12, is preparing for boarding school, after noting that he wouldn’t be home to hear his radio broadcast, which was taped in the Isles of Scilly.

“Oh, Charlotte and Louis, because George is boarding last night, so Charlotte, Louis, if you’re listening, make sure you’re on time, please,” the Prince of Wales said. “Make sure you’re not fighting over who’s listening to what this morning.”

George, who is the eldest of William and wife Princess Kate Middleton’s three children, is currently attending Lambrook School with his siblings. (William and Kate, 44, also share daughter Princess Charlotte and son Prince Louis.)

As George nears his teenage years, royal watchers have speculated where he will go off to school for full-time boarding, including whether he’ll follow in William’s footsteps and attend Eton College.

George’s current prep school only goes through Year 8 (between ages 12 and 13), but it does offer weekly and flexi-boarding for children ages 7 to 13, according to the Lambrook website.

William’s comments on Friday appeared to confirm that George was doing the flexi-boarding plan in preparation for the full-time shift in education when he’s a teen.

George was previously spotted touring Eton College in 2023 alongside his mom and dad, adding fuel to the rumors that he will start there in the next year or two.

The future king — who is second in line for the throne behind William and grandfather King Charles III — has also been rumored to be considering Kate’s alma mater, Marlborough College.

Marlborough is co-educational, so if George does go there, he could potentially attend school with Charlotte, 11, and Louis, 8, once they are of age.

Outside of his next educational steps, George is preparing for his future role as the British monarch, according to royal historian Marlene Koenig.

Koenig exclusively told Us Weekly in August 2025 that George is “undoubtedly aware of his future role” as heir to the throne, but won’t have to worry about taking his seat any time soon, “barring any accidents or health issues” on William’s end.

When it comes to Kate’s role in her son’s ascension to the throne, Koenig said, “She will never have a constitutional role, except as regent in a worst-case scenario, if George becomes king before age 18.”

The Princess of Wales will most likely just be there for George as “the loving, supportive mom,” Koenig shared, “because he is her son first and foremost.”

William, for his part, made a rare comment about George’s future duties during an October 2025 episode of The Reluctant Traveler.

“Obviously, I want to create a world in which my son is proud of what we do, a world and a job that actually does impact people’s lives for the better,” William explained. “That is caveated with, I hope we don’t go back to some of the practices in the past that [my brother Prince] Harry and I had to grow up in, and I’ll do everything I can to make sure we don’t regress in that situation.”

During his recent appearance on the U.K.’s Heart Radio, William, 43, was asked whether he had been invited to the couple’s big day.

“No comment,” William said on Friday, May 22, with a laugh. “I’m hoping, and I’m sure there might be an invitation around, but we’ll see.”

Before the show, William brought his eldest children backstage to meet Swift and Kelce.

Travis’ brother, Jason Kelce, was also present for the royal meet-up.

“I think the wedding is what happens after [my Life of a Showgirl promotional tour] in the scheme of the planning, but I’m so excited about it,” Swift teased on the Graham Norton Show in October 2025. “I know it’s gonna be fun to plan because I think the only stressful weddings are the ones where you have a small amount and people are on the bubble.”

Kate has steadily been returning to her regal duties, including embarking on her first overseas trip to Reggio Emilia, Italy, earlier this month.

“[I am] so proud,” William gushed on Friday morning. “She’s been amazing. She’s been through so much in the last couple of years, particularly. And yeah, she’d been looking forward to the Italian trip a lot. I’m really glad it went really well.”

According to William, Kate “wanted to go and do lots of research” on her Italian state visit.

“She spends, God knows how much time now, looking through all the paperwork. She’s a proper pro on early years,” William said of his wife’s patronage. “Most evenings I’m fighting to get past in the bedroom, what paperwork that she’s got lined up, ready to read. I’m so pleased it went well for her, and yeah, I think she came back buzzing.”

“In addition to the investigation into misconduct in public office, the assessment of reports that a woman was taken to an address in Windsor in 2010 for sexual purposes is ongoing,” the U.K.’s Thames Valley Police shared in a statement released on Friday, May 22, offering an update on the probe.

Authorities confirmed that they have spoken with the woman’s legal team.

“We have engaged with the woman’s legal representative to confirm that, should she wish to report this to police, it will be taken seriously and handled with care, sensitivity and respect for her privacy and her right for anonymity,” the statement continued. “We recognize how difficult it can be to speak about experiences of this nature, and any contact with police will be led by her wishes, when and if she feels ready and able to do so.”

News broke on February 19 that Andrew, 66, had been arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office. King Charles III confirmed his brother was taken into custody in a statement that same day.

Following his arrest, two residences — one in Berkshire and in Norfolk — were searched by police, the authorities confirmed on Friday.

The Thames Valley Police shared in Friday’s statement that they have been working closely with the U.K.’s Crown Prosecution Service along with the United States Department of Justice for more information that could be related to the investigation. Friday’s statement specifically stated that the police are “examining a number of aspects of alleged misconduct” noted in the Epstein Files.

The Thames Valley Police said they are “speaking with a number of witnesses,” but made it clear that their identities would not be released.

Thames Valley Police Assistant Chief Constable Oliver Wright also spoke out in a statement regarding the “complex” investigation.

Wright encouraged anyone with information about the case to get in touch with the Thames Valley Police department.

“I understand the high level of interest in this work, but please be patient as we continue to actively progress our investigation,” he added. “We will provide further updates to the public and media when appropriate.”

U.K. authorities initially confirmed in February that they were looking into allegations that Andrew had shared confidential information with the late billionaire sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein from 2001 to 2011.

Andrew’s longtime friendship has continued to raise eyebrows over the years. The late Virginia Giuffre alleged that she had an underage sexual encounter with Andrew, facilitated at the hands of Epstein and his cohorts. Andrew settled a lawsuit with Giuffre outside of court in 2022. She died by suicide at age 41 in April 2025

Andrew, who was stripped of his prince and Duke of York titles amid the scandal, has continued to vehemently deny any wrongdoing.

Monday’s gala was held to celebrate alumni, ambassadors, patrons and volunteers from the King’s Trust, which the monarch founded in 1976 to champion vulnerable young people across the U.K.

The event was presented by iconic British TV hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly and featured stars such as George and Amal Clooney, Rita Ora and Lily Collins on the guest list, among others.

Prior to the 2016 election, Stewart described Trump, 79, as a personal friend and his Florida neighbor but later criticized both his first and second administrations. In June 2025, he told the Radio Times that Trump no longer resembled the man he once knew.

“I’m not a great fan of Trump. I knew him very, very well. I used to go to his house,” Stewart said at the time. “I live literally half a mile away… We’re both on the beach. Meanwhile, Charles and Queen Camilla held an official visit in the U.S. from April 27 to April 30 and attended a state dinner at the White House. The king became only the second member of the British royal family to address Congress on April 28 when he spoke about climate change and the recent White House Correspondents’ Dinner shooting.

The king avoided any direct mention of the crimes of late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein despite his brother Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s connection to the disgraced financier. Mountbatten-Windsor was arrested on February 19 on suspicion of misconduct in public office for allegedly passing confidential information to Epstein during his time as a U.K. trade envoy. He has not entered a plea. (Epstein died by suicide at age 66 in August 2019 after being arrested on federal sex crimes charges.)

“I stand by it,” Lownie, 64, told London’s The Times on Saturday, May 9. “It’s fully sourced with former employees of P Diddy and Sarah Ferguson.”

Lownie made the allegation about Ferguson and Diddy’s alleged sexual relationship in the expanded edition of his book Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, the 2025 tell-all that kicked off a new round of controversy over Ferguson and her ex-husband Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s connections to late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

In this new paperback edition of Entitled, Lownie alleged that Ferguson, 66, and Diddy, 58, met at a 2002 party thrown by Epstein’s associate Ghislaine Maxwell and that they began a sexual relationship two years later. (Epstein died by suicide at age 66 in August 2019 after being arrested on federal sex crimes charges. Maxwell, 64, is serving a 20-year prison sentence following her 2022 conviction on sex trafficking-related offences.)

A portion of Entitled serialized in The Daily Mail claimed that Diddy bragged to colleagues about sleeping with Ferguson and allegedly once said “he could not wait until Fergie’s daughters come of age.” (Ferguson and Mountbatten-Windsor, 66, share two daughters: Princess Beatrice, 37, and Princess Eugenie, 35.)

The author claimed that Ferguson introduced both of her daughters to Diddy during a yacht party weekend in 2006. (Eugenie was 16 years old at the time.)

Lownie also wrote that Ferguson and Diddy met multiple times at hotels in Africa and Europe, including once staying at a seven-star hotel that cost £50,000 per night.

Us Weekly has reached out to representatives for Diddy and Ferguson for comment.

Diddy is currently serving a 50-month sentence at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Fort Dix in New Jersey after his 2025 conviction of two counts of transportation for prostitution. (He was acquitted on the more serious charges of sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy following an eight-week trial.)

Lownie made numerous shocking claims about Ferguson in the hardcover edition of Entitled, including that she was “obsessed” with Kevin Costner and had crushes on both George Clooney and Tiger Woods. (There is no insinuation that anything ever happened between Ferguson and any of the three men mentioned.)

The author accused Mounbatten-Windsor of sleeping with “more than a dozen women” before he’d even celebrated his first wedding anniversary with Ferguson in the 1980s.

The book further explored alleged troubles in Ferguson and Mountbatten-Windsor’s marriage prior to their 1992 separation. Per Lownie, Ferguson allegedly told friends that the then-prince was “never there when I need him” and simply was “just not strong enough.”

Entitled’s allegations about the now-former Duke and Duchess of York’s ties to Epstein began a series of new scandals that led to Mountbatten-Windsor being stripped of his royal titles by King Charles III in late 2025. (Ferguson has stopped using her royal titles in deference to her former husband.)

The Duchess of Sussex, 44, shared an adorable baby photo of Archie via Instagram on Wednesday, May 6, as the little prince celebrated another turn around the sun.

Meghan and Harry welcomed Archie in May 2019, just a year after they tied the knot at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.

Over the years, Meghan and Harry have selectively shared details about their little ones, although the royals are fiercely protective over their children’s privacy.

Meghan expressed her joy about motherhood last year during an episode of her “Confessions of a Female Founder” podcast.

“I love being a mom. Oh, my gosh, I love being a mom so much,” the royal said. “It’s my favorite thing. It is the thing where you’re like, ‘Oh, my gosh, I just need a break, I just need a minute,’ and then the second you step into the other room, you go, ‘Oh, let me just scroll through pictures of them endlessly on my phone.’”

“My husband’s like, ‘My love, can you just give yourself a minute? Why don’t you go work out? Why don’t you just go take a bath?’ I’m like, ‘I know. I just want a cuddle [from them],’” Meghan continued. “It’s the parenting paradigm where it is so full-on, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.”

Meghan also spoke about juggling parenthood with running her growing lifestyle brand, As Ever.

“Lili still naps. She gets picked up early, and she naps … she only has a half day in preschool,” she said during an April 2025 episode of her podcast. “So if she wakes up and she wants to find me, she knows where to find me. Even if my door is closed to the office. She will be sitting there on my lap during one of these meetings with a grid of all the executives. And here we are.”

Anderson is, of course, referring to Harry’s May 2025 interview in which he discussed his ongoing rift with the royal family.

“I don’t know how much longer my father has,” Harry said at the time, which made Kate “more disappointed than angry,” per the excerpt.

“But William, who had already slammed the door shut on his brother over what Harry wrote in Spare, was, in the words of a courtier, ‘apoplectic’ with rage,” Andersen writes. “Now it was time to nail the door shut once and for all, and for the first time Kate, who had worked harder than anyone to mend the rift between the brothers, willingly handed her husband a hammer.”

Kate “promised” William that she “was done” with Harry after his bombshell BBC interview.

“Princess Catherine is ‘the sweetest, most loving person you could ever know,’ said a Sandringham staffer, ‘but like everyone else, she has her limits,’” Andersen’s excerpt reads.

Andersen also spoke with Us exclusively about the moment in his book.

“I think Kate’s relationship with her father-in-law over their shared cancer battles really has made her much more sensitive to King Charles’s feelings,” he explained. “She knows better than anyone that having someone publicly imply you may be at death’s door is horribly demoralizing.”

Charles went public with his cancer diagnosis in February 2024 and Kate announced hers the following month. Kate has since announced that she is in remission.

“I’m sure Kate must have felt stung by that comment as well, since she is in a situation very similar to the king’s,” Andersen added, noting that Kate has always been the “level-headed one” in the family feud attempting to “bridge the widening gap between the brothers” — but this changed things.

Andersen speculated that he doesn’t see Harry and Kate “having any sort of relationship” going forward. “At least not for the foreseeable future,” he added.

After seven years of dating and doing long distance, Brooksbank proposed during a trip to Nicaragua in January 2018.

“The lake was so beautiful. The light was just a special light I had never seen,” Eugenie recalled via an interview posted on the royal family’s YouTube page. “I actually said, ‘This is an incredible moment,’ and then he popped the question, which was really surprising even though we have been together seven years. I was over the moon.”

Several months after Brooksbank proposed with a delicate pink bauble, the pair’s royal October 2018 wedding was held at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor, England.

Three years later, the royal couple announced in September 2020 that they were expecting their first baby. Eugenie, 36, already shares sons August and Ernest with husband Jack.

The statement continued, “August (aged 5) and Ernest (aged 2) are also very excited to have another sibling join the family.”

Eugenie also shared the news on Instagram early Monday morning, posting a picture of August and Ernest looking down at an ultrasound scan photo and writing, “Baby Brooksbank due 2026! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️👶🏻♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️.”

Eugenie announced her engagement to marketing executive Jack, 40, in January 2018 after seven years of dating. The couple tied the knot at St. George’s Chapel inside Windsor Castle in October of that year.

The royal welcomed her first son, August Philip Hawke Brooksbank, in February 2021. His middle name honors Eugenie’s grandfather Prince Philip, who died that April.

The couple’s joyous news comes six months after Charles moved to strip Eugenie’s father, Andrew, 66, of his royal title amid controversy surrounding his connection to the late Jeffrey Epstein. (In 2019, Andrew was accused of sexually abusing Virginia Giuffre, whom he allegedly met through Epstein. He has denied the allegations.)

“Prince Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor. His lease on Royal Lodge has, to date, provided him with legal protection to continue in residence,” Buckingham Palace said in a statement shared with Us in October 2025. “Formal notice has now been served to surrender the lease and he will move to alternative private accommodation. These censures are deemed necessary, notwithstanding the fact that he continues to deny the allegations against him.”

“Their Majesties wish to make clear that their thoughts and utmost sympathies have been, and will remain with, the victims and survivors of any and all forms of abuse,” the statement added.

In February, Andrew was arrested on his 66th birthday on suspicion of misconduct in a public office.

“I have learned with the deepest concern the news about Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and suspicion of misconduct in public office,” Charles said via a statement at the time. “What now follows is the full, fair and proper process by which this issue is investigated in the appropriate manner and by the appropriate authorities. In this, as I have said before, they have our full and wholehearted support and cooperation.”

“Happy 40th my love,” the royal, 36, wrote via her Instagram Stories on Sunday, May 3, over a photo of her other half laying out on a nondescript beach. In a subsequent photo, she shared a snap of her husband playing with one of the pair’s two sons. (Princess Eugenie and Brooksbank, 40, share sons August Philip and Ernest George.)

“Here’s to another 16… xx,” she wrote over the image, followed by “xx” over a more recent photo of the happy couple at a beach.

The royal’s post comes as her father, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, has been embattled in a scandal related to his former relationship with Epstein, who died by suicide in 2019 while awaiting trial in New York City on child sex trafficking charges.

After the former prince was accused of sexually assaulting Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre when she was a minor, was heavily featured in the so-called Epstein files recently released by the U.S. Justice Department and accused of misconduct while in office, his brother, King Charles, announced he was beginning the formal process of stripping his brother of his royal titles. (Giuffre died by suicide in April 2025 at age 41. Mountbatten-Windsor has denied the claims against him, settling a sexual assault lawsuit out of court with Giuffre prior to her untimely death.)

In February of this year, the disgraced royal was arrested on his 66th birthday on charges he allegedly shared classified information with Epstein during his time in office. The United Kingdom’s Thames Valley Police confirmed they had “arrested a man in his sixties from Norfolk on suspicion of misconduct in public office.” King Charles later confirmed the man was his brother via a public statement.

When the scandal hit one of many fever pitches in 2019, Us learned that Princess Eugenie and her sister, Princess Beatrice, were being supported — and distracted — by their respective spouses. (Former Prince Andrew shares Beatrice and Eugenie with his ex wife, Sarah “Fergie” Ferguson.)

“Eugenie’s husband and Beatrice’s [husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi] are standing by them and are doing everything they can to distract the girls from the situation and calm them down,” a source told Us at the time. “There have been scandals surrounding Andrew and Sarah Ferguson in the past, and while this is the worst yet, they know that marrying into the royal family comes with its ups and downs.”

During his recent visit to the United States and historic Congressional address, King Charles declined to mention Epstein, the Epstein files or acknowledge the disgraced billionaire’s many victims.

The sweet tradition began when their eldest son, Prince George, celebrated his first year in July 2014. The little one walked in the photo taken by John Stillwell, looking all grown up in Petit Bateau denim overalls, a navy polo shirt and matching leather shoes.

“He was very lively, very confident and very sure of himself,” Stillwell told Us Weekly of the toddler at the time. “He’s a very determined young boy. And who does he look like? I’d have to say his dad, William.”

George became a big brother in May 2015 when Princess Charlotte arrived, followed by Prince Louis in April 2018. While the Prince and Princess of Wales’ eldest has been snapped by many photographers for his birthday, from Mario Testino to Matt Porteous, George and his siblings have also been photographed by Kate herself.

The video shared by the Prince and Princess of Wales via Instagram on Saturday, May 2, showcases the young royal spending some quality time with her two cocker spaniels, Orla and Otto. Princess Charlotte is also seen writing out “I ❤️U” in seashells on a beach and pitching a ball overhand with some impressive speed.

“Thank you for the lovely birthday messages for Princess Charlotte, 11 today,” the royal Instagram account wrote alongside the birthday video on Saturday.

In addition to the celebratory video, Prince William and Kate, 44, followed traditional royal protocol by sharing a new official portrait of their daughter for her birthday. (Last year, the then-10-year-old beamed while wearing a long-sleeve camouflage jacket in a photo shot and shared by her mother.)

Following her 10th birthday in 2025, multiple royal experts spoke exclusively to Us Weekly about Princess Charlotte showing maturity while stepping into life as a young royal.

“[Her parents] have watched Charlotte grow into a smart, confident and funny girl who knows how to hold her own both in the spotlight and outside of it,” royal watcher Sharon Carpenter told Us.

Us learned that the princess was excelling at Lambrook School in the Berkshire countryside, where she goes by Charlotte Cambridge. Royal commentator Amanda Matta revealed to Us that Charlotte is a budding baker outside of school and enjoys sports such as tennis, gymnastics, archery and “anything adventurous.”

“She’s the boss of the family,” a royal insider told Us. “Charlotte rules the roost.”

Earlier this month, Us reported on how Prince and Princess of Wales have kept their family united despite Kate and King Charles III’s cancer battles, the scandal involving Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s connection to Jeffrey Epstein and ongoing estrangement from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

“William and Kate have been through so much, but they always have each other’s backs,” a source told Us. “They are incredibly connected.”

Royal historian Marlene Koenig shared with Us that William, 43, has always been determined to avoid the pitfalls faced by his own parents with his marriage to Kate. (Princess Diana divorced then-Prince Charles in 1996 after 15 years of marriage. The princess died at age 36 in August 1997 in a car crash in Paris.)

“Diana and Charles didn’t have the real time to get to know each other,” Koenig explained to Us. “[William] was determined to allow his relationship with Kate to grow. It’s a much more modern marriage.”

William and Kate share three children: sons Prince George, 12, and Prince Louis, 8, and daughter Princess Charlotte. The royal couple tied the knot on April 29, 2011, at the historic Westminster Abbey in London, England.
