Shakira's Wrap-Around Braid: Love it or Hate It?

At the Latin Grammy Awards in Las Vegas Thursday, Shakira rocked several pretty hairstyles, but one unique twist in particular caught our eye.

Upon accepting the 2011 Person of the Year Award, the Colombian-Lebanese singer, 34, worked a messy side braid that, at first glance, looked like a typical 'do.
But from the back, you can see the braid starts on the left side of her head and meets a second french braid on the right side; together they combine into a thick tail over her right shoulder. Shakira added a flirty touch to the style by leaving out a few face-framing pieces.

The beauty girls over at Glamour.com even noticed that the braid begins with just two sections of hair and a third piece is added in towards the tail end of the style.

The songstress' other coifs from the evening included a voluminous updo, a bombshell blowout and polished side-swept waves.
