So sweet! Benji Madden took to Instagram on Tuesday, August 30, to pen an emotional note for his wife, Cameron Diaz, in honor of her 44th birthday.
The Good Charlotte rocker, 37, shared a photo of himself and the Other Woman star standing in the Los Angeles County Museum of Art’s famed Rain Room, accompanied by a heartmelting message.
“Happy Birthday to my beautiful Wife😍,” the “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous” singer began. “You're my best friend and I'm so thankful for you, sometimes I just want to tell the world❤️❤️❤️.”
Madden — the twin brother of Joel Madden, who is married to Nicole Richie — went on to list Diaz’s best attributes and explained why he feels incredibly fortunate to be her hubby.
“Generous, Kind, Compassionate, Selfless, Humble, Thoughtful, Patient and Loyal. Just a few of the qualities I would use to describe who you are, consistently, everyday,” he concluded. “Thanks for being you, I'm a lucky guy❤️Here's to many more🙏🏻❤️ I love you❤️❤️❤@camerondiaz 🎂🎈🎉😘..”
As Us Weekly previously reported, the adorable duo tied the knot in a romantic Jewish ceremony at the Annie actress’ Beverly Hills home on January 5, 2015. Celebrities including Richie (Diaz’s new sister-in-law!), longtime pal Drew Barrymore, Gwyneth Paltrow, Judd Apatow and Leslie Mann, among others, were present during the pair’s nuptials.
Back in May, Diaz opened up to Ellen DeGeneres about the joys of being married to Madden. “I do think that marriage, when you can grow with someone, it’s very important,” the Longevity Book author told the daytime host.
The Charlie’s Angels alum went on to say that exchanging I do's with the Maryland-born musician taught her a great deal about herself.
“Someone asked me, ‘What’s your favorite thing about being married?’ and I said, ‘I just learned so much about myself. I didn’t know these things. I would have never known them if I didn’t have my husband to help me,’” Diaz explained to DeGeneres before quipping, “And they said, ‘What’s the worst thing about being married?’ It’s like, ‘Well, I learned all these things about myself that I wish I didn’t know. And I wouldn’t have learned them if I didn’t get married.’ So it’s like this double-edged sword.”
