So long, Pink Pistol! Miranda Lambert's Pink Pistol boutique in Tishomingo, Oklahoma, has closed its doors after three years in operation — but the building that housed Lambert’s boutique have a surprising new owner: none other than her ex-husband, Blake Shelton.
Shelton, now dating his Voice costar Gwen Stefani, has bought the property from his former wife and has revealed that he has a "plan brewing" for what to do with the buildings.
Lambert, 32, announced her own plans to consolidate her eclectic lifestyle boutique in her hometown of Lindale, Texas, on Wednesday, May 25. The Pink Pistol's flagship store in Lindale will move into a newer and bigger location at the start of August and will host a larger inventory and more "Miranda'ize" merchandise for her fans.
“It feels full circle to have everything under one 'roof,' basically where it all began, in my hometown of Lindale," Lambert said in a statement to Us Weekly. "I want to send a heartfelt thank you to all the employees who worked hard to help me bring the store in Tishomingo to life, as well as the patrons who came to experience the Pink Pistol and supported the store. Sometimes you need to close a chapter to build on a new beginning or go back home."
Shelton, however, promises Tishomingo locals that he's not going to forget about them.
"As a resident of Tishomingo, I am very sorry that the Pink Pistol has decided to move its operations out of the area," the country star, 39, said in a statement. "We all as a community appreciate everything it has done for our town. As for the actual properties left behind, I was offered the opportunity to buy them and I have a plan brewing."
