It's over. After three years of marriage, Hilary Duff announced on Friday, Jan. 10 that she has split from husband Mike Comrie. In the days leading up their "amicable separation" announcement, however, the 26-year-old singer-actress and former NHL player, 33, gave no indication that a split was in the works.

Married since August 2010, the two appeared happy together as recently as Tuesday, Jan. 7, when they were photographed smiling and playing at a Los Angeles park with their 21-month old son Luca. Calling the separation "amicable," her rep told Us Weekly, "They remain best friends and will continue to be in each other's lives. They are dedicated to loving and parenting their amazing son, and ask for privacy at this time."

Showing hardly any signs of marital trouble, the couple seemed happy when they took Luca to Disneyland for the first time back in late December. Decked out in Minnie and Mickey Mouse ears, both mom and son posed happily beside dad in an Instagram picture posted to Duff's account.

Just one month before their fun family excursion, the devoted mom and dad were pictured together enjoying a hockey game at the Staples Center for date night. Dressed casually, Comrie looked right at home with his arm draped over his wife's shoulder.

The actress and former athlete even rang in 2014 together: Wearing a short white dress with a fur stole, Duff posted an image via Twitter on New Year's Eve with her bearded, suit-clad husband -- the two dolled up for an evening out. Less than two weeks later, they announced their split.

Shortly after her rep confirmed the news to Us Weekly, Duff took to Twitter to thank fans for their support: "Mike and I are sitting here, we are so appreciative for all of your kindness & well wishes," she wrote Friday afternoon. "Not an easy day but we're getting thru it together."
