Jessica Simpson says she and fiance Eric Johnson "need to get married" and want to have a wedding in 2014.

With her body looking better than ever, Jessica Simpson is ready to walk down the aisle. The 33-year-old fashion mogul appeared on Good Morning America on Tuesday, Jan. 7, and shared her upcoming wedding plans with fiance Eric Johnson.

"We don't have an actual date but we do know that we want it to be this year," she said. "We need to get married."

Simpson and retired NFL player Johnson, 34, became engaged in November 2010. Their wedding, however, was put on hold more than once to welcome the nearly back-to-back births of their two children: daughter Maxwell in May 2012, and son Ace in June 2013.

"I already feel like we're like an old married couple already," Simpson said. "If he wanted to run, he could have run when I was hormonal and pregnant."

The Weight Watchers spokeswoman endured a very public battle to drop the baby weight after the birth of Maxwell, but has had a much easier time slimming down after welcoming Ace.

"I had already been on Weight Watchers and I had already lost over 50 pounds, so I wasn't as relaxed in my eating and everything that I was with Maxwell," she explained on GMA, while showing off her trim figure in a sexy black dress. "I was just already in a healthier regimen. I kept walking and staying active and Maxwell started walking."

Simpson said Maxwell is her inspiration to help her stay on track and healthy. "I want her to look up to me and be like me," the mom explained. "I don't want to give her any false perception of what is real and what's important. It is important to really know yourself and love yourself."

"As a mom, I just have this confidence," she added. "I just feel so proud of what I've done and what I've accomplished."
