Kourtney Kardashian shared a poignant quote via her Instagram account on Saturday, December 26, in what could be a not-so-subtle nod to her headline-making split from ex Scott Disick.
“The prettiest smiles hide the deepest secrets. The prettiest eyes have cried the most tears, and the kindest hearts have felt the most pain,” the quote reads. Kardashian, 36, captioned the post with a simple blue heart emoji.
The mom of three and Disick, 32, called it quits on their nine-year relationship in July, but the pair have been spotted together in the months since.
In November, they were photographed together after dining at Marmalade Cafe in Calabasas, California, and Kardashian occasionally brought their three children — Mason, 6, Penelope, 3, and Reign, 1 — to visit their dad after he entered rehab in October.
That same month, Kourtney broke down in an episode of the family’s E! reality series, Keeping Up With the Kardashians, as she spoke to sister Kim about ending her relationship with Disick.
“I’m literally on the verge of a mental breakdown,” she said. “I can’t believe that this is where my life is at right now. I’ve worked so hard to keep this family together. It just makes me sad for the kids. He’s not being a good partner to me. I could never rely on him, depend on him for one single thing, and I don’t want to show my kids that that’s OK.”
After Kim agreed that Kourtney would be better off without the self-proclaimed Lord, Kourtney admitted that she knew it would be for the best, even if it would be tough.
“My mind is completely made up,” she said. “I know that him just staying here, nothing would change.”
Kourtney has most recently been linked to “Sorry” singer Justin Bieber. According to sources, Bieber, 21, has been bragging to friends about hooking up with the reality star.
“Oh, yeah, that’s definitely happening and has been for some time now,” a source tells Us. “Every time Kourtney and Justin are together they’re extremely flirtatious. They text each other all the time.”
