Snack attack! Celebrities are forgoing their hearts and choosing to wear their appetites on their sleeves, rocking yummy food-inspired outfits.
Katy Perry was the latest celebrity to opt for the trend, when she turned heads in Philadelphia on Tuesday, Aug. 5. The "Birthday" singer, 29, stepped out after the latest stop on her Prismatic World Tour in a pizza-print onesie.
The hooded, zip-up number featured a zoomed shot of delicious-looking greasy, pepperoni pizza. She recently chose the pizza theme in her "This Is How We Do" music video, wearing pizza slice earrings and a pizza-print one-piece swimsuit.
Perry isn't alone in her love for appetizing apparel. In February, Rita Ora fêted Moschino's runway show in Milan, wearing a particularly cheesy dress. The singer, 23, hit the Italian streets in a blue dress with a yellow cartooned cheese wedge print, which even included nutrition information.
Perry has another pizza pal in none other than Beyonce Knowles, who went head-to-toe slices in December 2013. She stepped out in a white sleeved crop top adorned with drawings of pizza pies, and paired the top with leggings in a pepperoni pizza print, both by Kiko Mizuhara for Opening Ceremony.
Lady Gaga famously took the food fashion to the next level in September 2010, when she wore her meat dress to the Video Music Awards. With a slab of meat on her dyed locks as a headpiece, Gaga wore an asymmetrical tank dress of raw meat, with towering boots made of, you guessed it, meat.
In contrast to Gaga, Rihanna sampled the trend a bit more tamely, sharing her love for pineapples through a two-piece outfit. The singer, 26, was seen in New York City in April 2013, wearing a matching pineapple-print sweatsuit in aqua.
Before her pizza party this week, Perry made an earlier bow in a high-fashion McDonald's minidress back in March. Designed by Moschino, the sleeved frock featured a spin on the McDonald's logo, boasting the billions served.
On a healthier turn, Beyonce's little sister Solange Knowles was sunny in April 2013, wearing a shift Alice + Olivia dress in a yellow lemon print.
