The controversy over the Girls star's February 2014 Vogue cover brewed after feminist blog Jezebel offering a $10,000 bounty for an unretouched image of Dunham. "Vogue isn't the place that we go to look at realistic women," Dunham told Slate France in response. "Vogue is the place that we go to look at beautiful clothes and fancy places and escapism and so I feel like if the story reflects me."
