Sarah Palin's Unreleased Book Already a Best Seller

Friday – October 02, 2009 – 10:06am

Is Sarah Palin's upcoming memoir going to be a bestseller?

You betcha.

Due Nov. 17, the book - which had been finished early so that it could make it into stores ahead of the Christmas holiday shopping season - is already a top seller on shopping sites of Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble, a month-and-a- half before it hits shelves.

Going Rogue: An American Life -- which became available for pre-order this week on Amazon.com - is even outselling The Lost Symbol -- the latest novel from Da Vinci Code author Dan Brown.

"It obviously bodes well that there's so much interest and excitement," said Tina Andreadis, spokeswoman for HarperCollins, the book's publisher and a unit of Rupert Murdoch's News Corp.

Palin, 45, the conservative former governor of Alaska, became a household name last year as the Republican presidential nominee John McCain's running mate.

Why would anyone want to read this book, which will be full of misconceptions and Palin's altered version of things. If any words bigger than betcha are used, it will be very obvious she used a ghostwriter. She can sell herself til the cows come home, but it won't alter what she really is. Not anyone we need in high office. Alaska is better off without her as governor. I used to like her, but I can hardly stand to look at her or listen to her now. Has nothing to do with her looks or her family life either. I happen to think she is very pretty (on the outside only) and her family life is HER business...not ours!

I would just like to clarify and settle this once and for all. First of all Amazon has a bulk ordering tool where regular joes can order up to 100 copies at a time. A corporate account can order 1000 at a time. I emailed amazon to find out about bulk orders and if they affect sales rankings, here is their response. Eat this JUJU... Thank you for contacting us at Amazon.com. I have gone through your email and noted the contents. Please note that the bestsellers on Amazon.com are calculated based on the sales volume for any particular title. In regard to bulk orders, I would wish to clarify that bulk orders do get considered for calculating sales rank of any item. As the sales rank depends on the sales of item and not depend on number of orders, all the sales of the item including the sales in bulk orders will be used for calculation purposes. In order to address your last question "Do you specify at all that bulk orders were part of the total sales in the book details", I would like to clarify that we do not specify anywhere that bulk orders are part of total sales. The sales information for any title is not made available to the customers or other selling parties as we consider this information confidential for suppliers. So from the horses mouth... bulk orders do get counted per item in sales ranking. So #1 can easily be manipulated by bulk ordering.

Palin/skoalrebel 2012!!! We'll all be in for some miserable times, but at least it'll be entertaining in a dark humor sort of way?

I don't doubt that here life might peak my fascination, but her interpretation of herself and her own life or any further thoughts she might have to offer really don't. I really don't care for the way she tries to sell herself.

who even knew she knew how to write, she must of had a ghost writer because she is an idiot. One would hope she would have just slipped away unnoticed back to Alaska and leave everyone else alone.
