Bachelor Season 20 Front-Runners Are Ben Higgins and Ben Zorn — It’s All About the Benjamins!

Ben Higgins and Ben Zorn
A source tells Us Weekly that both Ben Higgins and Ben Zorn are in the running to be the Season 20 Bachelor -- get the details here.

Make more money! While the next Bachelor for Season 20 of ABC's smash reality franchise The Bachelor still remains unconfirmed, a source tells Us Weekly that both Ben Higgins and Ben Zorn are in the running.

The insider tells Us that like Kaitlyn Bristowe and Britt Nilsson's season of The Bachelorette, producers are currently toying with the idea of a dual Bachelor season — and it could involve the two talk, dark, and handsome hunks who happen to share a first name.

Semi-finalist Ben H. has already been listed as one of the top names on the list of contenders, after the Denver, Colo.-based software salesman was sent home by Bristowe on the July 13 episode. However, other fan favorite Ben Zorn has also been deemed a possible option. According to the source, if both Bens are chosen, producers would call the season The Bachelor: All About The Benjamins.

In a conference call with Us Weekly and other reporters last Wednesday, July 22, longtime host Chris Harrison didn't rule out the option either. "Never say never," Harrison dished of having two leading ladies (or men!) in the mix. "Because after we did it the first time with two Bachelors back with Byron Velvick, I think we literally said we will never do this again."

Specifically of the two Bens, Harrison reiterated his point. "You know, it — I didn’t think it was a bad idea," the host said. "When [Bachelor creator] Mike Fleiss called me and brought up the idea of having Britt and Kaitlyn, I just reminded him the difficulties of doing that production-wise… It was a brutal task to pull that off. But it made sense because so many people wanted both of them."

Ben Z., Ben H., Harrison, and Bristowe all opened up to Us Weekly last month at the Men Tell All taping about the possibility of the next Bachelor. "I have a lot of female fans out there! Yeah, the possibility is there," Ben Z. dished to Us. "I haven’t even talked to them yet if they even offer me so."

Ben Z. confessed, however, that he was asked to appear on Bachelor in Paradise, but he declined. He added to Us that appearing on The Bachelorette has made him more open to love. "I don’t normally open up so quickly to somebody especially in two weeks," he told Us. "So, that was something that changed me a lot. I’ve been open to new people I meet."

Meanwhile, Ben H. also discussed the possibility of him becoming the next Bachelor. "To do this twice would be really hard," he told Us Weekly at the taping. "I just think that [the next Bachelor] would have to be legally insane if he thought this was just a cool opportunity to come back and maybe be The Bachelor. That would be a huge risk."

During that time, Ben H. was still deliberating whether it was the right choice for him. "I want to wait until that is on the table because I want to focus on the life I had," he dished to Us. "I’m not extremely comfortable with the attention. That is something I have to figure out… But I think it’s a great opportunity. I think it’s something that any man, if asked, should consider."

He certainly has Bristowe's endorsement. "I say to everybody. Every girl. Every man. Every dog. Everyone out there would agree with me right now that Ben H. is the man," she told Us at the Men Tell All taping. Like Bristowe, Harrison brought up Ben H. — and several other candidates.

"Well, they’re in this room right now," Harrison told Us at the taping. "This stud next to me: Ben Z., Ben H., there’s Cupcake, Jared. I think we have an embarrassment of riches for this season, I can pretty much guarantee that someone from this show will be our Bachelor. I mean, there’s just so many good choices. I mean, we had two girls, we could have like five guys. I would do it with any of these guys."

Like Harrison told Us, a tale of two Bens is not the only option. The same source tells Us Weekly that producers are still deliberating over the possibility of yet another curveball. According to the insider, the masterminds behind the series are considering the finalist — not to be confused with the winner — from Monday night's finale.

Stay tuned with Us Weekly as the finale and the After the Final Rose special air on ABC.
