Facts of Life Stars Reunite: Lisa Whelchel, Kim Fields Will Star In Hallmark Channel TV Movie For Better or For Worse
Blair and Tootie together again! Facts of Life costars Lisa Whelchel and Kim Fields are reuniting for an upcoming Hallmark Channel original movie, a whopping 26 years after leaving housemother and bakeshop owner Edna Garrett in 1988.
For Better or For Worse, an adaptation of the bestselling novel by Diann Hunt, stars Whelchel, 51, as wedding coordinator Wendy, who gets a second chance at love following the death of her husband. With co-worker Roseanne (Fields) by her side, she tries to successfully take over her family business. Her life becomes a bit more complicated, however, when divorce attorney Marco (Antonio Cupo) opens up his office right next door to her wedding chapel.
"To have Lisa Whelchel and Kim Fields reunite is a big TV event," Hallmark's Executive Vice President of Programming, Michelle Vicary, said in a statement. "Hallmark Channel is the perfect place to see these iconic stars together again."

Playing spoiled rich girl Blair and sassy, and dramatic Tootie respectively, Whelchel and Fields, 45, costarred in The Facts of Life from 1979 to 1988 alongside Charlotte Rae (Edna), Mindy Cohn (Natalie Green), and Nancy Mckeon as Jo Polniaczek. (Rae left the show earlier in 1986 with Cloris Leachman stepping in as Edna's sister Beverly Ann Stickle. In 2001, the cast reunited for the TV movie The Facts of Life Reunion.)
For Better or For Worse premieres on Saturday, July 19 at 9 p.m. EST on the Hallmark Channel.
