Not sure how Suri would feel about having Adam Sandler as a stepdad.
But if Katie Holmes' Jack and Jill costar has anything to do with it, he might be taking over for Tom Cruise sometime!
Sandler, 45, joked to David Letterman on The Late Show Wednesday that he and Cruise, 49, found a way to see eye-to-eye about the Happy Gilmore actor playing 32-year-old Holmes' hubby in the film: anything he did with Holmes, Cruise could also do with his wife!
"This is weird that my wife is going to be your wife," Sandler recalled Cruise saying.
Sandler's response? "It's a PG movie, no worries, nothing is going to happen In fact, anything I do with your wife in the movie, you can do with my wife. So every morning I'd go to the set and hear 'please do a love scene. Please slowly take your shirt off in that scene and rub her ever so tenderly.'"
Sandler's wife Jackie obviously has a sense of humor; the actor told Letterman how he convinced her to have sex with them in their daughter's bed. "We get in my littlest kid's bed and flip the lights off, and I went at it pretty good," he said. "I did some serious damage in there, and after the fact I said, 'Wasn't that great?' And [my wife] goes, 'What? Watching you bang Elmo?'"
Sandler joked that "got the job done" because he confused the Sesame Street star with his wife.
