Hosting duties before mom duties! Pregnant Kerry Washington is set to hit the Saturday Night Live stage this weekend, and is kicking off her responsibilities with the help of SNL regular Taran Killam. In new promos for the show, the expectant Scandal star pokes fun at her ABC series and alter ego Olivia Pope — minus the wine.
In one clip, the Emmy-nominated actress corrects Killam for not reading the teleprompter correctly. “It’s going to be a great show,” Killam says, as Washington responds, “It’s going to be a wonderful show.” Killam dramatically lowers his voice and says, “Well, I don’t follow the rules. Ooh, scandal!”
In a second preview, Killam also does an impression of Eminem — who will be the musical guest for the show — and Washington makes fun of the comedian’s dialect and dancing skills. Although pregnant, the Django Unchained actress, 36, showed no sign of a baby bump as she perhaps strategically covered up in a flowing red and purple dress.
Us Weekly exclusively broke news earlier today that the stunning actress is expecting her first child with husband Nnamdi Asomugha.
“She’s about four months along,” an insider tells Us. Washington and the San Francisco 49ers cornerback secretly tied the knot on June 24 in Hailey, Idaho. The two began dating in the summer of 2012.
