Lacey Schwimmer Not Returning to Dancing With the Stars

Samantha Harris isn't the only one leaving Dancing With the Stars this season.

Professional dancer Lacey Schwimmer also won't be returning to the ABC hit, she confirmed on Twitter late Friday night.

"Hey twitterbugs! I will not be doing DWTS this season. But be sure to tune in! <3," wrote Schwimmer, 21.

About 30 minutes later, she added, "I'm off to bed! I'm sad I will not be on this season of #dwts too yall! Biglove<3."

Schwimmer joined DWTS in 2008 after coming in fourth place on So You Think You Can Dance. Her star partners have included Lance Bass and Iron Chef host Mark Dacascos.

Harris announced last month that she will no longer be the show's co-host alongside Tom Bergeron. She told Us she plans to take on "expanded responsibilities on The Insider."

Lacey is one of my favorite dancers. I was so looking forward to seeing her this season and hoping that she'd make it further so I'd see more of her. Now not at all :(

Jill, how can you even say that. Lacey has the best body. She was a great dancer too. Her routines were fresh and hip. DWTS is going down hill. I will have to say that I am glad Samantha Harris is leaving. I will not miss her stupid expressions when she talks and her man voice.

To the person who asked why she did not return: She most likely was not chosen as one of the pros this season. The show has more pros than they plan to have as contestants this season. The other possibilty is that she wants to put more emphasis on her other projects. Either way, I doubt this is the last we'll see of her on dwts.

she is by far my favorite on the show. i don't watch religiously, but do tune in every chance i get. i'll really miss seeing her this year
