The date still isn't set! Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell called off their wedding plans this season on their Freeform series, Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After?, and they're in no rush to make things official.
The Bachelor season 20 lovebirds spoke to Extra on Monday, November 28, and were asked if the wedding is on or off. (As fans know, Higgins, 28, popped the question to Bushnell, 26, during the Bachelor finale that aired in March.)
"Oh, gosh, the million-dollar question!" Bushnell said about plans for the nuptials.
At that, Higgins chimed in with, "I think at this point, Lauren and I are focusing on our relationship, which is obvious. We're definitely together — we are happily engaged. The wedding in our mind — 'Where's your ring at?' — is still on, but we are just taking some time to help plan that where it’s not stressful or overwhelming."
Bushnell points out that the scrutiny they're feeling is no different from what many other engaged duos endure. "Any couple feels the same pressures — you get engaged, and everyone asks when is the wedding. … We’ve navigated it relatively well and [are] doing things on our own timeline, honestly."
The former Bachelor said that they're waiting to plan for kids and are first focused on "processing ourselves." He added, "The show is stressful, it's hard. … One thing Lauren and I have learned, we really need to focus on taking time as a couple to do things."
Tell Us: How soon do you think Higgins and Bushnell will tie the knot?
Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After's season 1 finale airs on Freeform Tuesday, November 29, at 8 p.m. ET.
