After about four on-and-off years together, Nicole Scherzinger and Lewis Hamilton have split, a source confirms to Us Weekly.
Singer and X-Factor judge Scherzinger, 33, began dating the British Formula One racing champ, 26, in 2008.
"They were just never together and saw no end to that," the source explains of the pair, kept apart by his racing tours and her TV and music obligations. "Their careers have them working in separate places. Being apart that much never works, so they decided to end it."
The duo first split in January 2010, but reconciled thereafter. They first met backstage at the MTV Europe Awards in Munich, Germany in November 2007.

She told Hello! magazine that she "was so tired at the show, but he walked into the room and brightened it up to no end."
After that meeting, "We go out, goof around and enjoy life," she told the magazine.
