Another riff on It's a Wonderful Life? Be reassured: The blue-collar sitcom's take on the yuletide classic is genuinely amusing. After ruing the day he ever fathered baby Hope, Jimmy (Lucas Neff) dreams of a life in which she was never born. Not good, as hilariously revealed. For one thing, without a kid around, his mom, Virginia (Martha Plimpton), just sits and eats nonstop (even obscured by a fat suit, she is still a comic force). Hope's characters can still be too overblown, but the spirited cast and this week's irreverent spin deserve cheers. (Fox, 9:30 p.m.)
