Expect to see pool pics if you follow Meghan King Edmonds on Instagram. The Real Housewives of Orange County alum and her husband, Jim Edmonds, are currently vacationing in Mexico. It’s their first trip without kids since welcoming daughter Aspen, 23 months, and 4-month-old twin boys Hayes and Hart.
“Our marriage needs it,” Meghan wrote in a Thursday, October 4, post on her blog. “We’ve had three babies in under two years.” The TV personality, 34, noted that she and the retired baseball player, 48, “have become complacent in our lives and have taken each other for granted.”
She continued: “We need shining and buffing. We need US back . . . and the sad part is that we never even realized ‘we’ were missing.”
The mom of three admitted she was “anxious” about leaving her little ones back in California, but at same time time she felt “ready” for a romantic getaway. “Most of all I’m looking forward to hanging out with my husband and not worrying about when the babies need to eat next or who has gas or why one hasn’t pooped,” Meghan explained in the post.
For parents who can’t afford to jet off to Mexico, Meghan suggested a cell phone-free picnic in the park. “Whatever you can do, just do it,” she urged her fans. “Your marriage and former self will thank you a thousand times over. Adios amigos!”
Meghan and Jim tied the knot in October 2014. The Fox Sports broadcaster has four other children from previous relationships.
