Black is the new black!
Gwyneth Paltrow, Reese Witherspoon, Madonna, and Anne Hathaway all dressed in dramatic black styles at The Great American Songbook event honoring Bryan Lourd at Alice Tully Hall in New York City on Feb. 10.
Paltrow, 41, left the cut-out style she’s been favoring lately at home and wore a chic sequined Saint Laurent minidress. Her blonde locks were styled in loose waves, and she played up her eyes with black liner.
Fellow Oscar winner Witherspoon, 37, tapped into her sexy side in a Valentino dress with a sheer panel along the decolletage. She styled her tresses in beauty waves and opted for smoky eye makeup and a nude lip.
Madge, 55, wore a full-length, long-sleeved leather Dsquared dress. The Material Girl evened out the heaviness of the dress’ fabric with natural makeup that played up her radiant skin.
Hathaway, 31, wore a futuristic look of a black frayed banded top and silk pants by Calvin Klein. The Les Miserables standout, who also presented at the event, recently split from longtime stylist Rachel Zoe and has been working with Penny Lovell, who works with Rose Byrne and Taylor Schilling.
