Scarlett Johansson and Pete Yorn's Break Up was so much fun for the pair that they're thinking about doing it all over again. Speaking to Us Weekly at the Compton Jr. Posse Gala at Burbank's L.A. Equestrian Center on Saturday, May 17, indie singer/songwriter Yorn said he'd be open to another musical collaboration with Her actress Johansson, his duet partner on the album Break Up.
"We haven't ruled that out yet," Yorn told Us of a possible second project with the blonde beauty, 29, who's expecting her first child with fiance Romain Dauriac this year. "Scarlett's a good friend and she's living mainly in France right now and she's very pregnant. But she's great and, you know, we might do something again down the road."
A children's album, perhaps? "Maybe we will do a children's album. That would be fun. Thanks for the idea," the "Relator" singer, 39, replied. "I'll take it seriously!"
Released in 2009, Yorn and Johansson's Break Up was inspired by Serge Gainsbourg's albums in the 1960s with French bombshell/muse Brigitte Bardot. It was Johansson's second musical endeavor; she also released her own solo album, Anywhere I Lay My Head, in 2008.
"It sounded like an interesting little adventure," the Under the Skin star said in a statement about her collaboration with Yorn upon its release, which came a year before her separation from then-husband Ryan Reynolds. "The idea of two people vocalizing their relationship through duets…It perfectly captured where I was in my life at the time."
These days, of course, Johansson is in a very different place. Engaged to French journalist Dauriac since November, the pregnant star is now preparing to welcome a little son or daughter. "I want to be able to have it all," she told WSJ Magazine earlier this year of finding a work-life balance.??
