Why, ‘ello there, Britain’s most fashionable!
On Monday, Dec. 1, some of Britain’s best-dressed players—as well as a few ex-pats for the day—stepped out to celebrate English style at the 2014 British Fashion Awards in London.
Leading the pack was budding American supermodel Kendall Jenner—celebrating stylish Brits like street-style star Amal Alamuddin—in a black-striped, white strapless jumpsuit. She teamed the sleek look with a black box clutch and sheer heels.
Not far away, Harry Styles, who won the 2013 Style Award, was working the step and repeat, too, channeling England’s rock-and-roll scene in a black suit with scarlet pinstripes and an (uncharacteristically) fully buttoned-up black top.
Andy Warhol’s ’60s model muse, Twiggy, also stepped out, throwing tradition out the window in a three-piece suit, complete with a festive, red velvet vest. Perforated white oxfords completed her fierce ensemble.
Of course, no British style event would be complete without the one of London’s most gorgeous couples, David and Victoria Beckham. (They even have stylish children—have you seen Romeo Beckham in Burberry’s holiday campaign?) While Mr. Beckham, 39, looked dapper in a Dior Homme tux, his Mrs., 40, whose line was up for Best Brand, posed in an unusual black and white getup boasting half a skirt.
Nominee Emma Watson wore a waist-flattering white jumpsuit by Misha Nonoo, topped off with a navy Dior coatdress, cinched at the waist with a belt. A printed Anya Hindmarch clutch added color to her look, as did a red statement lip.
Meanwhile, Anna Kendrick looked pretty in a body-conscious pink minidress, paired with rose gold accessories.
Last—and most ready to turn up the heat—was surprise guest Rihanna, who arrived wearing a plunging velvet jacket with seemingly nothing underneath! Instead, the pop star, 26, posing with Cara Delevingne, added a diamond necklace and intricate bracelet, sheer tights, and black sandals.
