Message of support? Diane von Furstenberg raised a few eyebrows on Tuesday, April 28, when the designer's official Instagram account allegedly posted a photo of Bruce Jenner's face Photoshopped onto the iconic designer's body, wearing one of her signature wrap dresses.
Though the post was deleted, screengrabs quickly started circulating. The image comes from a 1974 ad promoting her signature wrap dress that has the slogan, "Feel like a woman, wear a dress."
The Instagram caption read, "Bruce Jenner… You are the woman you wanted to be ! I salute your strength, courage and honesty. By speaking out, you have spoken for so many who suffer .. … Love Diane @kimkardashian @kendeljenner."
Model Kendall Jenner has walked in von Furstenberg's shows before, most recently in February during New York Fashion Week.
Access Hollywood asked for the designer's comment on the post, and she replied, "I admire Bruce Jenner's strength, courage and honest and have so much respect [for] him using his voice to speak for people who have none. I wish him nothing but a lifetime of happiness."
Jenner had a historic moment on Friday, April 24, when he told Diane Sawyer in a televised interview that he was transitioning from male to female after decades of feeling like he was born into the wrong gender.
