Kids, don’t try this at home. Us Weekly tried our hand — er, foot — at some simple soccer moves with Olympic gold medalist Carli Lloyd, and the results are nothing short of hilarious.
The soccer star, 34, competed at the 2016 Rio Olympics on Friday, August 12, but even though Team USA ended up getting knocked out of the running for the gold by the Swedes, Lloyd has proven time and again that she’s got golden cleats.
In the video above, Lloyd gives Us some pro tips on how to at least look impressive while performing some basic soccer moves, like “getting air,” a.k.a. dribbling a soccer ball in the air, or “fancy footwork,” a.k.a. circling the soccer ball with one foot while kicking it with the other.
The two-time Olympic gold medalist also shows Us how to use your head in soccer — but we’ll let you be the judge on how successful we were with that one!
Lloyd’s own personal journey to the Olympics has been one filled with triumph and pride, despite Team USA’s losing the bid for the gold on Friday.
“Women have come a long way that we were included in this,” the World Cup champion told Us. “And it’s pretty rad playing myself on Xbox. So, so creepy, but it’s, like, really cool.”
