Guess who’s got the rhythm? Dancing With the Stars pro dancers Val Chmerkovskiy, Karina Smirnoff, Witney Carson and more got together to pay a very special visit to the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles on Thursday, May 12, to hang out with some of the hospital’s youngest patients.
The dancers took part in a Dréa’s Dream dance and movement therapy session led by Dr. Lori Baudino, a dance/movement therapist from the hospital, funded by the Andréa Rizzo Foundation.
The pros enjoyed an afternoon of dancing and laughing with the kids and at one point in the day, Carson played peekaboo with one cancer patient. The dancers also distributed DWTS Barbies as gifts for the kids.
This season of Dancing With the Stars has proven to be an exciting one so far, with Geraldo Rivera and Edyta Sliwinska out first, and Mischa Barton, Marla Maples, Doug Flutie, Kim Fields and Von Miller out each subsequent week.
The most recent competitor kicked off from the show, Jodie Sweetin, came as a shock to the beloved Full House alum.
“If you have to go, best to go on the highest scores you’ve gotten all season, rather than leaving and saying, ‘That was crap!’” the 34-year-old star told Us Weekly. “We can both hold our heads really high and say we were proud of what we did.”
