Blink and you just might miss her! Ashton Kutcher’s older sister Tausha got the chance of a lifetime playing a walker (read: zombie) on the season 6 finale of The Walking Dead on Sunday, April 3.
Alanna Masterson, who plays sharp-tongued Tara Chambler on the hit AMC series, told E! News in a recent interview that Tausha had asked her about having a small part on the show as far back as last fall.
“She’s a huge fan of The Walking Dead — I mean, they all are, Mila Kunis and Ashton, they all are,” Masterson, 27, said. “She asked if she could be a walker and I said sure, and [director] Greg [Nicotero] obviously is the man to make it happen, so I called him.”
On Monday, April 4, Tausha shared a close-up photo of her blood-stained mouth and chin (makeup), captioning the chilling snapshot, “Almost dinner time!”
Masterson’s brother is the actor Danny Masterson, Kutcher’s former costar on That ‘70s Show and current costar on Netflix’s The Ranch, which debuted on April 1.
Alanna also revealed that keeping the season’s cliffhanger under wraps — even from big fans like Ashton, 38, and Kunis, 32 — has been easier than it might seem, because she and her costars have no idea who Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) ultimately pummeled to death on the finale.
“The end of the story is what people saw,” Walking Dead showrunner Scott M. Gimple said during an episode of Talking Dead that aired immediately after the finale. “When we reveal who was on the receiving end there, that’s going to be the start of another story. The kickback effects from that — what it makes everyone into, how they react, how the world changes for everyone — that’s the next part of the story.”
Fans of the series will have to wait until the fall, when season 7 premieres, to find out who Negan finished off.
