Biography:

After guest appearances on TV shows including RoseanneParty of Five and NYPD Blue, Danny Masterson received his big break when he was cast as Steven Hyde in That ‘70s Show in 1998. The FOX sitcom aired for eight seasons until its 2005 series finale.

The MADtv alum continued acting after That ‘70s Show wrapped, booking roles in Spin, Yes Man, Wake, The Bridge to Nowhere and Alter Egos. The Men at Work alum later reunited onscreen with his former That ‘70s Show costar Ashton Kutcher, playing brothers on Netflix’s The Ranch upon its 2016 premiere.

Masterson was ultimately written off The Ranch amid its third season after he was accused of sexual assault by multiple women in 2017. The New York native was arrested and charged on three counts of rape three years later. After Masterson was released on bail, he pleaded not guilty to all charges.

The Urge actor’s criminal trial began in August 2022, however, the proceedings ended in a mistrial after the jury failed to reach a unanimous verdict. He is currently awaiting a retrial.

Masterson is a practicing Scientologist.

Masterson married actress Bijou Phillips in 2011 after eight years of dating. They share daughter Fianna, who was born in February 2014.
