Carly Rae Jepsen

Canadian pop star Carly Rae Jepsen was born on November 21, 1985.
The singer-songwriter placed third during the fifth season of Canadian Idol in 2007, but it wasn’t until 2012 that she became a household name. After Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez and Ashley Tisdale posted a viral video of themselves lip syncing to Jepsen’s debut single, “Call Me Maybe,” the song became a worldwide smash that topped the charts in more than 20 countries.
In June 2012, Jepsen and Owl City released the joint single “Good Time,” which quickly became a top 10 hit. Months later, Jepsen released her debut album, This Kiss. She promoted the disc with a guest appearance as herself on The CW’s 90210.
Jepsen quietly split with Jordi Ashworth, an architecture student, in 2012. She soon began dating musician Matthew Koma.
