Carly Rae Jepsen

Carly Rae Jepsen is a Canadian singer-songwriter and actress best known for the 2012 global pop hit “Call Me Maybe.” Jepsen spent her childhood in Mission, British Columbia, where she developed an interest in musical theater. She performed in school productions like Annie, Grease and The Wiz. She attended the Canadian College of Performing Arts, graduating from its yearlong program in 2005. She later moved to Vancouver and worked at coffee shops, restaurants and bars while performing at open-mic nights.

Jepsen rose to fame after placing third on the fifth season of Canadian Idol in 2007. She released her debut album, Tug of War, in 2008 before signing with Schoolboy Records and Interscope Records. Her breakthrough came with “Call Me Maybe,” which topped the Billboard Hot 100 for nine weeks and earned two Grammy nominations, including the nomination for Song of the Year. Her album Kiss followed in 2012, while later releases included Emotion (2015), Dedicated (2019), The Loneliest Time (2022) and The Loveliest Time (2022).

Jepsen has been romantically linked to several people over the years, including photographer Nick Theodorakis. She began dating music producer Cole M.G.N. after meeting while working on music together. They announced their engagement in September 2024 and married in October the following year. They welcomed their first child in March 2026.
