Keri Russell

Keri Russell is an award-winning actress best known for her work on the TV shows Felicity and The Americans. Russell spent her childhood moving frequently due to her father’s work. She developed an interest in performing at a young age and attended Highlands Ranch High School in Colorado. She went on to pursue acting professionally while still a teenager.

She began her career as a cast member on The All-New Mickey Mouse Club in the early 1990s, appearing alongside future stars such as Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake. After guest roles on TV shows like Boy Meets World, Russell landed her breakout role in 1998 as Felicity Porter on The WB’s Felicity. The performance made her a household name and earned her a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress.

Following Felicity, Russell transitioned into film with roles in Honey, I Blew Up the Kid (1992), We Were Soldiers (2002) and Waitress (2007). She later returned to television with critical acclaim starring as Elizabeth Jennings on FX’s The Americans, a role that earned her multiple Emmy and Golden Globe nominations for Best Actress. Her later work includes Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (2019), Cocaine Bear (2021) and Netflix’s The Diplomat. Her role as Kate Wyler on the Netflix series has earned her numerous accolades since 2024, including multiple Golden Globe, Emmy and Screen Actors Guild Award nominations for Best Actress.

Russell married Shane Deary in 2007, and the couple share two children, River (born in 2007) and Willa (born in 2011). They divorced in 2014. She later began a relationship with her The Americans costar Matthew Rhys, with whom she shares son Sam (born in 2016).
