Prince Louis Arthur Charles
The prince is fifth in line for the crown following his grandfather, Prince Charles, his father and his two older siblings, brother Prince George and sister Princess Charlotte. Louis beat out his uncle Prince Harry and his children, Archie and Lili, in the line of succession.
All three of Louis’ monikers run in the British royal family, with his first name being a nod to Prince Philip’s late uncle Louis Mountbatten. It is also one of his brother George’s middle names. Arthur is a shared middle name with both his grandfather and father. Charles, of course, pays homage to the Prince of Wales, who is the eldest son of Queen Elizabeth II.
Louis was born one year before his first cousin on William’s side, Archie Harrison, who was born in May 2019. Harry and wife Meghan Markle later welcomed daughter Lilibet “Lili” Diana in June 2021.
